It’s difficult to listen to the perpetually angry Left criticize Roseanne Barr for being outrageous because she’s always been outrageous. Remember when she shrieked the National Anthem before a Major League Baseball game in 1990?
The Left was amused. So much so that nobody fired her from her first stint at her hit comedy show Roseanne.
The Left hates America so that doesn’t surprise anyone. A good take-down of that racist, bigoted, National Anthem is always a good thing to an America-hating Leftist.
Fast-forward to the present day. Roseanne is no longer seen as a lock-step Lib. She’s a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump. But one outrageous tweet about a former close adviser to President Obama — Valerie Jarrett — and her second stint at her hit comedy show Roseanne got canceled. Oh, and she lost her agent as well.
The more times change, the more Leftists don’t.
That’s why they continue to tolerate and even defend former President Bill Clinton, serial sexual abuser and accused rapist — even as the #MeToo movement continues and as former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein is set to go on trial … for rape.
The hypocrisy is appalling, to be sure, but to some — Clinton’s victims, for example — it’s unbearable.
One of them is Paula Jones, with whom Clinton settled in the late 1990s in a lawsuit alleging he sexually assaulted her years before while he was governor of Arkansas.
Clinton is currently preparing to travel the country to promote a recently published book he claims he wrote, but Jones believes that Clinton’s continued enrichment and feting by the Left is an abomination.
“This is a disgrace that any publishing company would even dare promote this evil, poor excuse of a human,” Jones said in an interview with Breitbart News. “Sick liberal hypocrisy for sure.” (Related: Paula Jones to Hillary Clinton: “I did not ‘misremember’ anything” about sexual assault accusations against husband Bill.)
Jones claimed that serial abuser Clinton — impeached for lying to investigators about his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky — “needs to be standing trial just like Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein. Why is he so untouchable?”
Continuing, Jones noted, “Nothing about Bill Clinton should be believed. He’s a rapist, sexual harasser and narcissist to say the least.”
Speaking of Clinton rape allegations, earlier this month, Juanita Broaddrick, who has long claimed Clinton raped her, said it was “absolutely despicable” that in the time of the #MeToo movement the ex-president, whom she called a “sexual predator,” is planning a multi-city book tour instead of doing time.
“It’s just unbelievable that they would roll out the red carpet for him,” she said of the venues planning to host him over the summer, during an interview with Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.
Clinton allegedly co-wrote a political fiction tome called The President Is Missing with established thriller author James Paterson. The New York Post reported in May that the ex-prez has events scheduled in the U.S. and Canada, and in some cases is charging $1,500 a pop for onstage events. Unreal.
Breitbart News noted that the former president faced “renewed scrutiny” over his sexually abusive and permissive past. But honestly, who cares? Nothing happened to him in the past and nothing likely will; many of the alleged crimes he’s been accused of have long passed the statute of limitations for charges to be filed.
The only thing left to rely on is getting Clinton and his equally liable wife, Hillary, on allegations that they used their family foundation to enrich themselves in several “pay-for-play” schemes involving foreign donors who thought they were buying access to the next president of the United States while she was Obama’s secretary of state.
With so much criminality, you have to believe that the law of averages will eventually catch up to these two.
